Effect of treatment with benzathine penicillin combined with ceftriaxone in elderly patients with latent syphilis

Purpose: To investigate the effect of combination benzathine penicillin and ceftriaxone in treatment latent syphilis elderly. 
 Methods: A total 70 elderly patients with treated First People’s Hospital Yichang from March 2020 to 2021 were enrolled this study. Control group (CG) comprised thirty-two penicillin, while 38 received placed study (SG). Therapeutic efficacy adverse reactions both groups assessed. The difference toludine red unheated serum test (TRUST) negative conversion rate at different periods (3, 6, 12 months) after was observed. Dermatological quality life index (DLQI), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) depression (SDS) scores also determined before treatment. Results: Total significantly higher than that control (p < 0.05), but there no significant incidence between > 0.05). TRUST 6 months SG CG DLQI, SAS SDS lower Conclusion: Treatment effectively controls disease improves patients’ emotions few drug reactions. Further clinical trials are required prior application practice.
